A few words about Mr. Morup Namgyal,
The Founder
Hengbok and Kofuku were founded by Rinchen Angchuk and his brother Morup Namgyal to bring authentic Asian cuisine to India. The journey began in 2012 with Kofuku Japanese Restaurant in Mumbai, known for its traditional tatami seating and genuine Japanese flavors. After Kofuku’s success, they launched Hengbok Korean Restaurant, offering classic Korean dishes like Tteokbokki, Kimchi Soup, Bibimbap, and Korean BBQ. Supported by their parent company Palkit Impex Pvt. Ltd., which has imported premium ingredients from Japan since 2004, both restaurants are now recognized across India for delivering a true taste of Japan and Korea.
The word Hengbok means happiness, and our goal is to make you feel that happiness with every bite.”
